The Sacramento Monarchs have been a force to be reckoned with since the inaugural season of the Women's National Basketball Association in 1997. In 2008, the often self-proclaimed "face of the Monarchs", Yolanda Griffith, left Sacramento and has since bounced from team to team. Jenny, who is the first person in WNBA history to be a player, assistant coach, and now head coach, has made her inevitable mark in Sacramento and on the WNBA. 2008 presented itself not only as her sophomore year as Sac's head coach, but as her year as the New Face of the Monarchs.
2009 finds the Sacramento Monarchs the dark horse once again in the race for the WNBA Championships. The enormous talent and unrelenting passion of their head coach is confidently leading the way. This team has most definitely taken on her personality and she is helping bring back the swagger to Sacramento.
This web site celebrates that new face and the charismatic force that is Jenny Boucek. It is not affiliated directly with Jenny or the WNBA and was created solely for entertainment and informational purposes.
